A shoe museum - a shoeseum
Saturday, June 07, 2003

Ok, have managed to get on to a computer in the delegates lounge. I will post up the full story when I can as there is so much to tell.

Toronto is amazing. We are having such a fantastic time, I've had both of my screenings and Q&A's which went really well - canadian projectors and theatres are so good, the beta looked really crisp. We've watched so many films, met film makers from all over the world, gone downtown and yesterday went to Niagra falls for the day which as you can imagine was breathtaking.

Our hotel is oppostite a shoe museum - a shoeseum, I feel right at home.

This is my first visit to North america so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but Canada is just so darn perky. People are so friendly and it just feels massive - cars are big, sidewalks are big, food is big, people are big. It's like the inverse of Tokyo.

Sars is such a small story here, the number of cases in proportion to the population is minute so it feels like something that is happening in the hospitals only. On our first day if anyone coughed in the cinema I strated reaching for my mask, only joking. It does really feel like a media fanned epedemic.

Off down to the water front now, before more, more films....

have a nice day youall !
